Internship Agreement with Black Swan Publishing
We are happy to announce a new internship agreement with Blackswan, one of the leading publishing houses in the field of foreign language education in Turkey. Sixteen students will have the opportunity to work with Blackswan in four terms.

Our faculty member Assist. Prof. Dr. Şule Akdoğan gave a speech titled "Locating Translated Literature by Women Writers from Turkey in Contemporary Discussions of Genre and Narrative: Fictions of Memory and Multiperspectival Narration" in a one-day online symposium, “Women’s Genre Writing: From Turkey to the Rest of the World” organised by Özyeğin University. Our Students' Translation of "A Defence of Poetry" is Published!
Percy B. Shelley's "A Defence of Poetry" was translated by our students Azranur Elif Sucuoğlu and Çağrı Teoman Kars and published under the title "Bir Şiir Savunması" on Shelley's 230th birthday on August 4, 2021.

Our First TEDU-LAD Research Project!
We are happy to announce our first TEDU-LAD Research Project!
The research team will work on two separate corpora comprised of texts selected from children’s literature in English and English Romantic poetry. Researchers will analyse the stylistic features of the selected texts with the help of computational corpus tools, and interpret the findings, employing the relevant literary theories (i.e. feminism, ecocriticism and so forth). The research project will be led by Dr. Hakan Cangır (Ankara University) and Dr. Taner Can (TEDU).
Our Student Buse Kılıç Talks about Animal Abuse
On the topics of animal experiments, pet shops and abuse of animals in the entertainment industry, our student Buse Kılıç made a speech titled "How We Abuse Them" on 21 November 2020, Saturday, at 20.00. At the event, the causes of animal abuse, its current types and the responsibilities of the individuals to prevent it were discussed.
We congratulate our student for this awareness-raising speech and thank TEDU Animal Friends for organizing this event.
